SEPTEMBER
We've started the year off to a great start!
Currently we are working on learning all of the names and sounds of our Zoo Phonics Friends. From Allie the Aligator to Zeke the Zebra, we are having a lot of fun learning all about our zoo friends.
In Science we are learning the difference between living and nonlinving things.
In Social Studies we are learning how to make decisions fairly. We spent some time discussing how we could fairly decide what we would have for our celebration of beating our goal of 50 seconds to recognize and name all 26 of our Zoo Phonics friends. We need to decide fairly what movie we are going to watch and what pop we are going to drink while watching our movie. The students enjoyed having a "hands on approach" in the planning of this celebration.
We are also learning many new Montessori works such as: the pink tower, the brown stair, knobbed cylinders, thermic tablets, etc.
We are also learning each other names and becoming familiar with a new school. We are having a lot of fun and learning a lot too!
